What we look for

• Current proof of General Liability insurance ($1M / $2M minimum).
• Current Workers' Compensation (or a sole-proprietor exemption where state law allows).
• A current state or local license for licensed trades (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, etc.).
• A W-9 on file before any payment is issued.
• Two or three references we can call.
• The ability to show up on the dates you commit to and to communicate when something changes.

How it works

1. Read the policies. These are the standards every sub on a DL Barber project is expected to meet — insurance, payment, change orders, conduct, lien waivers. Read them before you apply.
2. Submit an application. Tell us about your business, your trades, and upload your COI(s), license, and W-9.
3. We review. We'll call your references, verify insurance, and reach out about a small first job to test fit.
4. You stay in the portal. Use your login to upload renewed COIs and licenses as they expire — no chasing emails.
